Haylie's 1st Birthday!

Yesterday was Haylie's FIRST birthday!! We had a great day together celebrating and enjoying family time! Justin went into work late morning so that he could spend more time with Haylie on her birthday. We got up and cooked a big breakfast and just enjoyed our time together! My mom took a long lunch from work and came out to see Haylie! Haylie's gift from grandma and grandpa was a baby doll with bottle, sippy cup and keys, some sandals, and a bag to play with. She loved the shoes and the doll's toys!! Justin came home early so we could have a little "party" together before church. We had some cupcakes (Haylie's first ever) and opened a few of her gifts! She loved the cupcake, it was so cute watching her eat it!! We gave her a doll, outfit, Bible, and a play cell phone for her real birthday, but saved her other gifts for the family party on Saturday! After a dinner of spaghetti Justin's parents, her Mema and Papa, came over. They brought her a toy telephone, spatulas (really for me, but Haylie loved them too!), and some money! She had a great time playing and visiting!

We ended up not going to church afterall, though, because Haylie woke up from her nap with a runny nose and we didn't want to take her to the nursery. She still has the runny nose today and acts like she's not quite feeling up to par. I really think it's just teething because I see two teeth coming through on the sides of her top front teeth.

On Saturday we are planning Haylie's family party. My parents & sister, and Justin's parents, brothers, & their families will all be there. The theme is ladybug and I'm so excited to get everything ready! Tomorrow I will be baking and decorating the cakes and I can't wait to see how they turn out!! I just hope Haylie's feeling better by then!

Here are a few pictures from yesterday:
