Busy, Busy

It's been another week, and a busy one at that!!

On Monday, we went to OKC to shop for a new t.v. for the BCM, also I had to get some new songs to sing for church at Mardel. Tuesday I spent the whole day with Justin at the BCM helping him paint. There's so much to get done before school starts at SSC! Today, I'm trying to get caught up with housework because tomorrow we are planning to go to Falls Creek for the last time this year. This coming Sunday evening is Justin's licensing at our church. He will give his testimony and receive his license to preach!

Today makes exactly one week that Haylie has been off of the bottle! It was the easiest thing ever. I don't even think she noticed one bit. I was worried that the "before nap" bottle and the "bedtime bottle" would be VERY hard to get rid of...they were not! We finished off the formula can, and started her on whole milk which she absolutely loves! She can't get enough of it. Today she had already had two cups by 10 and wanted more, but I just gave her water instead. She can't have too much of that fatty whole milk! :) At nap/bedtime we just go read her a book and lay her down. She goes to sleep all by herself (she always has, she just used to get a bottle first!).

I can't believe what a sweet, good baby girl God blessed us with. She has started being so affectionate. She loves snuggling with mommy, and her mommy loves it too! I just love when she lays her head on my shoulder, or climbs up in my lap when I'm playing in the floor with her. I still can't believe how happy she is all the time, and how little she fusses.

She has pretty much given up the "surprise" face (the one on the b-day invitation), and has switched it out for a "serious, concerned" look. She gives this look A LOT, especially if she's around someone new. I'll have to try and get a picture posted.

She's still not walking, and today is exactly one week until her FIRST birthday!! She's pretty good at walking while holding our hands or onto furniture, but still not quite brave enough to go on her own. She's talking a lot more. She says words like: hello, bye, mama, dada, no no...She even has a sound she makes when she's hungry, sort of like num num num!

Next week will be super busy too as we prepare for Haylie's first b-day. I've got the supplies for the cake, and decorations, and all her presents. But there's still plenty to be done.

Tuesday is her appointment for her 1 yr. pictures at Sears hopefully she'll take some good ones!

  1. Don't spend too much money on those pictures!! It's way too easy to do! They really know how to get you suckered in. Have a good weekend. Tell Justin I said congratulations.
