November already?!?! I can't believe it's already nearing the end of 2009. We've had SO many changes this past year and are so blessed with everything God has done for us. Here it is again, 3 weeks since I last posted a blog. I told myself I would try to do better, but it's so hard to find the time. Between taking care of Haylie, Justin, and the house, my Scentsy stuff, my 7 private music students, all of the BCM weekly events, and, of course, church stuff, we've been very busy!
So here's a quick update, and yes I don't have much time to write....imagine that!
Let's start with Haylie. She has grown and changed so much in the last few weeks. She's started playing with baby dolls and stuffed animals now. She even asked for a baby doll at wal-mart the other day...and, yes. I did give in. I know I shouldn't have. I know it probably just started a trend of her wanting something everytime we go to the store. But how could you say no to the sweetest little 15 month old pointing at the row of baby dolls and saying in her precious voice: "Bebe, bebe?" I let her get one. only one. It still wasn't good enough, though. She wanted two and threw a fit when I only let her have the one. Oh well, it happens right? She loves her new little baby and plays with it every day. She also has a little stuffed curious george. She literally carries him around most of the day every day. She loves him! She's trying to say a few more words. She's added "night night" for sure. Sometimes I think she's trying to say a word but I still can't figure out which one it is. Her Mema bought her a pair of house shoes and she loves them! She wants to wear them all the time in the house!
Yesterday I prepared a meal for a friend of mine who just had her third little baby. When we took it over to her and held little Abigail it was so hard to imagine that Haylie had been that small just a little over a year ago!! It goes by WAY too fast. You always hear everyone say that, but you never understand it until you experience it! Holding little Abigail made me sad that Haylie is not a little baby anymore. Of course, I'm thrilled that she is growing and healthy, but it's bittersweet that she's not my little newborn...she's a busy toddler!
Scentsy update....Selling Scentsy is going great! I'm loving it. It definitely adds some busyness to my evenings. I mostly have to wait until Haylie's in bed to do the orders, but it's definitely worth it! Not only have I received tons of FREE product, but my first commission check is going to be for $705!!!!! I can't believe it!
BCM update...Things at the BCM are busy as usual. At our last IGNITE we had 19 students. Every NOONDAY we run about 60-70 students!! We are really enjoying getting to know the students and being able to help them. Tonight we are doing a Pancake Dinner at the Dorms. I think we'll be cooking about 480 pancakes--just the two of us!! I'll probably NEVER want to see a pancake again after tonight! :)
My music lessons are going well. Tomorrow will be the last day for one of my flute students so that will put me down to 6 piano students. It's amazing how each and everyone of them has such a different personality. It takes a different teaching strategy to teach each one of them! I am really enjoying getting to know each of them. I love teaching and am glad God blessed me with this opportunity to be able to do it again!
Well...I think that about wraps it up for now. I've got to get off the computer and get some Bible Study done and put away some laundry and clutter. Gotta hurry, I've got a piano student coming at 3:15, and then it's off to the pancakes......
