Well....a lot has happened since my last update! First, God provided even MORE students for me to teach! I now have 1 flute student, and 6 piano students!! 7 students within one month's time! I'm so excited about teaching each and every one of them!! Justin is still preaching at Ideal St. on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights and it looks like we'll be there for at least 3 more weeks. We stay busy with BCM and church events and hardly have time for anything else, but we love it! Haylie is starting to get even more of a personality....growing more and more ornery each day!
As my last post stated, I signed up to be a Scentsy consultant! I'm very excited and can't wait to really get a good client base and see how much extra money I can make with this!
Scenty is basically a wickless candle company. You can buy warmers and plug-ins and then you buy scented wax to burn in them. The warmers and plug-ins are heated by a light bulb, so there is no flame, making it much safer than candles. The scented wax that I've burned so far smells SO good, and lasts much longer than a candle! They also have room sprays and what they call car candles (air freshener). I should get my kit sometime this week, so I'll have samples and catalogs then, but I'm already taking orders. I only have two so far, so I've really got to get going! I'll post the link to my website again in case anyone ever wants to buy anything from me. Also, if you ever want to be a hostess for a party, you can get free items!! :) There are basically two types of parties: the home party, and the basket party. The home party is the basic...invite people over to your house, have refreshments, do a presentation, and sell product. The basket party, however, is different. All you have to do for that is prepare a basket of samples and catalogs and then just take it to a workplace and let people see it and find out about it! Anyone can be a hostess for either type of party and get free merchandise with a qualifying party. I'm going to try and do some of the basket parties by asking some of my friends to be hostesses and to take a basket to their workplace. I think maybe this will help to increase my clientele.
Tomorrow Justin is taking off work and we are all three going to go the the Oklahoma State Fair!!! We can't wait! It's been so long since we've been there, and of course, we're looking forward to eating all of that healthy food! ;)
