11 months already?!?!

Our little Haylie is 11 months old today!! It's so hard to believe that 1 month from today she will be one year old. How did the time go by so quickly? It seems like just yesterday we were going to the hospital to have her and then we were so excited and scared when we heard her first cry and saw her for the first time. From coming home from the hospital, eating every 2 hours, to being so excited about her first smile, rolling over & sitting up for the first time,to eating solid foods, to laughing out loud and starting to babble, to scooting and crawling, and getting her first two teeth, crawling and pulling up and taking steps...it all goes by WAY TOO fast. It brings me to tears to think about how fast it has all gone, but happy to see our little girl growing and progressing as a healthy, beautiful child.

Thank you, God, for giving us such a wonderful blessing and allowing us to be the parents for Haylie!!!

Well the weekend is over and it's time to start another busy week. On Friday night we started trying to put our pool. Some friends of ours very generously gave us this pool, and it's in great condition, but, unfortunately, the pump hose was not. We got the pool out of the box, spread on the ground (which turned out to be way more unlevel than it looked), started filling it with water, and trying to smooth out the wrinkles. Finally we decided to look at the pump and try to hook it up. That's when we noticed the cracks in the hoses. We had to stop filling the pool because the water was coming OUT of the holes where the pump connects!!! So...Saturday morning, very early, we went to Ada to try and find something to fix it with. We went everywhere--like 5 different places--nothing to help us! Then we drove to Seminole to look around--again, nothing! We finally found some tubing, not actual hoses, that we bought thinking it would work. Now, however, we've decided we don't think it will. So, needless to say, the opening of the pool turned into a BIG headache.

Today Justin is taking the whole thing to Seminole Chemical in hopes that they can help us! We hope to get the pool up and ready to swim by the 4th of July!

My plans today are just to stay around the house, my parents are on vacation and coming over this morning to visit. Maybe this afternoon I can get some cleaning and other things around the house done!

  1. I can't believe she's already 11 months.
I can't believe Will is already 2 months. It goes by way too fast. I remember the days of putting the pool up. It was always an all weekend ordeal. It will be fun when you finally get it going!
