A Time of Change

The past month has been a time of great change for our family. From watching Haylie reach milestones to seeing God work in our lives like never before.

On Feb. 13 Justin, finally, after years of feeling the call, decided to surrender to God's will. He accepted the call, and talked to our Pastor about it. He then started attending a Bible Study one night a week for men that are feeling the call on their lives. Once Justin decided to follow God the doors just started opening.

First a prayer about his current job was answered. Rather than having to transfer to OKC immediately they decided to keep him in Shawnee for awhile giving us more time to find something else. Then on March 27th our Pastor called Justin to ask if he would like to do some "pulpit ministry." Not thinking it would be so soon Justin said he would. Tommy then said that it was at Banner Baptist Church the following Sunday, March 29th!!!! Justin had a day and a half to get his very first sermon ready. He preached on God's love and what we were before we were saved. When he arrived there that morning they told him they needed him that evening too!! So that afternoon he had to come up with another sermon. We went back that evening and Justin preached on peace. Phillipians 4:7 "Be anxious for nothing..."

Secondly, an opportunity for another job has arisen. We are praying that if it is God's will it will work out, but we are really excited about the possibility. It would even be stepping in the right direction for being in the ministry.

Thirdly, our little baby girl started changing so much this month. She started being able to sit up from a laying down position by herself. She started scooting, then army crawling, and then finally, regular crawling. She got her first two teeth. She started feeding herself cereal. She started eating table food. She even started pulling up and standing up! She's grown out of all her current clothes and is now wearing 18 month stuff!! She also started staying in the nursery at church because she was just talking too much in the big service! She even started throwing fits this month when we would take something away from her or change her. We love her so much and thank God for her every day. It's sort of sad, though, to see how fast she's changing and growing up. I'm already missing her being a "little" baby!
